List of executives fired from Twitter

1. CEO Parag Agrawal

Parag Agrawal started working with the company in 2011 when it had less than 1,000 employees. In November 2021, Agrawal was named CEO of Twitter. At his appointment, Agrawal was Twitter’s, Chief Technology Officer.

Agrawal received $30.4 million in total remuneration while serving as the chief technology officer. Agrawal received a reported $1 million salary as CEO each year in addition to a $12.5 million stock bonus.

When Elon took over as the official owner recently, he fired Agrawal and publicly accused him of lying to him about the number of spam-bot accounts.

2. CFO Ned Segal

Ned Segal most recently oversaw Twitter’s corporate growth, financial operations, and partnerships as its chief financial officer. He led Twitter’s finances as its CFO from 2017 until 2022.

After being fired, Segal tweeted about his five years working for the company. He tweeted

“The last 5 years have been the most fulfilling of my career. The people, the potential, and the importance of Twitter. The shifts in technology, politics, culture. This will be hard to beat… but after catching my breath, I’m going to try! In the meantime, see you on
@twitter!”

3. Vijaya Gadde, Head of Legal Policy, Trust and Safety

Vijaya Gadde oversaw legal, policy, and trust as well as serving as general counsel. Her responsibilities included dealing with concerns including harassment, false information, and offensive speech.

Vijaya Gadde was the most heavily trolled of the Twitter officials. According to a journal, Musk tweeted an image of Gadde with text accusing Twitter of having a left-wing political bias.

4. General Counsel Sean Edgett

Since 2012, Sean Edgett has served as Twitter’s general counsel. Sean worked as the legal director of corporate and securities for NetApp Inc, a provider of network storage solutions.

Little is known about Sean Edgett but according to various sources like Techcrunch he was among the list of top executives fired from Twitter.
